The Great Escape would have never existed without these 1001 pixel-art NFTs.

GLMR APES was the first NFT collection sold-out on Moonbeam (in January 2022) and initially started as nothing less than a cool PFP collection.

However, as the project got popular, a strong demand quickly emerged from the community to self-organize as a DAO.

After setting-up an original governance system based on weekly snapshot votes, the GLMR APES DAO decided to launch a second collection of NFTs (GLMR Jungle) that would become playable in a game called... The Great Escape.

The 1001 OG GLMR APES NFTs have their own character in the game and compete for both the classic prize pool and a dedicated prize pool called the GLMA MODE.

GLMA Mode

Each week, all the scores you obtained while playing with a GLMR Apes character are added to both the classic leaderboard and to a dedicated section of the leaderboard.

The top 25 best accumulated scores (with a GLMR APE) of the week share over 440 GLMB (game test token of rewards) of prize pool.

The GLMR APES NFTs can be either purchased or rented on the second-hand market.

Specifications

The GLMR APES in-game characters possess very strong specs compared to the other species. They all rank very high in terms of Speed, HP and Jump abilities but do not have any gastric resistance.

The GLMR APES offer a very enjoyable playing experience to the players thanks to their superior in-game abilities.

These NFTs cannot be upgraded (as they are already very buffed).

Governance

On top of simply being a great in-game character the GLMR APES holders are also de facto members of GLMR APES DAO.

GLMR APES holders have access to the exclusive “Happy Jungle” channel on our discord. Our Discord channel is to talk about governance and votes, but also a place for all GLMR APES holders to talk.

As DAO members, the GLMR APES get to vote on weekly basis on wide range of proposals related to the game including (but not limited to) : the maps, characters, game mechanics, new items etc...

The proposals are written by the Jungle Council, the governance body of the DAO made of 3 permanent core team members and 4 elected members of the community also known as Wise Apes.

In order to be part of the DAO, you must own your GLMR APES (rented GLMR NFTs give you access to the game and the prize pool but do not have any voting power).
